Matt's first workshop

 - went over the conventions of a music video 

- spoke of how bands often don't do as well as single artists 

- why single artists do better is because it is easier to make a star persona and make music videos and make them interesting so they often do better on the charts

- we discussed how many different scenes we should have (not too many) 

-we then looked at single artists and bands music videos

-less is more

- we looked at Katy Perry's music video and discussed the way she portrayed and the heavy influence on sex appeal 

- we also looked at Post Malones first music video and looked at how they chose to portray him. 

-we spoke about about how we can show the vibe and image of our chose artists or bands 

-it is easier to give a star persona to a single artist 

-how at festivals its mostly bands because they have more stage presence
