Feedback:
Red by Sofia- The majority of the class thought the song was lovely however, the biggest concern was the pace of the song. A big concern for the music video would be to avoid the classic female vocalist singing while dancers sway in the back. They brought it to my attention that this song would be more difficult to make a music video for.
Champagne by 5ever- I showed my peers the music video for Champagne and the main concern was coming up with an idea that isn't the same as the actual video. Prior to showing the video my peers suggested doing a montage of motion while the main vocalist is sitting on a couch, the issue with this is that the music video is the exact same. Therefore coming up with a music video that would match the lyrics of the song would be a lot more difficult than I intended.
Cant just call me by Blake and Miles- I received nothing but positivity for this song. everyone said that it had a really good vibe and would be a plausible music video. I got a lot of ideas for the music video from my peers and so far it was a crowd favourite.
live it again by the motives- this was also a crowd favourite however the tempo of the song may be a little bit difficult as I decided that I wanted to keep the tempo a little more fast paced in terms of editing and shots.
Out of all the songs that I presented to my class, Live it again and Can't just call me were the top two choices.
Lukes feedback:
After showing Luke our song choice, he had some concerns that it will be another breakup song or that the it will just be actors acting out each part of the song which can get tedious and is not a feasible plan. He expressed his concern for our narrative idea. This got us thinking about what kind of narrative we can do that isn't going to be boring (as most films and teenage music videos revolve around breakups). We discussed different ideas for our three scenes and discussed the possibility of going out of studio into town or a different site.
