Logo design

I chose to make a logo for the artist I creates (Theo). Theo is a really good male artist with a femine side. He makes alternative music and I feel like the bold font with the dainty flowers in it, makes for a nice contrast between what a man is according to gender norms and who Theo is, because of his femine side. I think that it fits well with his theme because it isn't too soft or too intense, it's just right for him. I went with a letter design because I felt like for Theo's logo, it should be minimalistic and quite simple. I didn't want to add too much colour or design to keep it focused on the name .

Going along with the contrast of female and male, I went for a more gothic font over a tattoo looking flower bed. I think that the bold and gothic font goes really well in contrast with the beautifully drawn flowers. I think that again, this goes with Theo's image and genre but with a little more of a kick to it. I chose that flower bed design because it resembles a tattoo and I see Theo have lots of tattoos and perhaps having these flowers tattoed somewhere, which would really link the logo to the artist. Again I feel like there is a balance between soft and hard with this, however this logo feels a little more edgy than the other logo design, which was not what i was going for but I feel like it fits Theo's vibe and genre a little bit better.
